Life sometimes just gets messy, complicated, full of frustrations, fears, sorrow, and grief. It’s difficult at times, to navigate all this while still facing the demands of every day life. As a Christian, I have found the Psalms to be of great comfort, giving me hope as I walk through valleys. That’s what this book was written and illustrated for. Through the brush that God has placed in my hand, coupled with the truth and hope of God’s Word, He speaks.
This book is not “just another devotional”. It doesn’t have my ideas, stories, or commentary written out. Rather, the main body is just straight Scripture, in various translations with a painting on the other page being what came to mind when thinking and pondering the verses. I am praying that the Holy Spirit will take His Words and bring comfort, healing, strength, and hope to each person who picks this book up.
Meant to be read little by little - as a devotional, by yourself, with your little ones gathered around, studied at a homeschool co-op, with a friend, or used in a Bible Study group at church.
Why different translations?
Copyright laws are set up in such a way that there are limited amounts of Scripture a person can use from a single translation. Pulling from a number of translations also allows one to see verses in perhaps a way that hasn’t been considered before.
